Week 3 of the K-League One season and yet another win for Gyeongnam as they romped to a 3-1 victory away to Jeonnam as Marcao bagged himself another goal this time from the penalty spot. Gangwon also maintained their 100% start to the season as a Diego double secured the points at home to Sangju in a match which would also see Joo Min Kyu continue his scoring run and it’s now three from three for the E-Land star. There were further defeats for Seoul and Ulsan as they lost to Jeonbuk and Jeju respectively while Daegu got their first points on the table with a 0-0 draw at Incheon.
This week saw a change at the top of the table as Ferdinand knocked Modern Seoul off his perch with a 14pt haul from Week 3 including an incredible three separate full point wins for his predictions of Gangwon v Sangju, Jeonbuk v Seoul and Bluewings v Pohang. There were also strong weeks for 48 Shades very own Daeguowl and RevJChrist at both would climb 4 places in the table with Daeguowl now tied in 3rd spot with Daegu Freak and Gunsan Hite Kakao Friends Home Plus Purplers FC (who no offense meant but I hope I never have to type your name again!!)
Round 3 would witness a humanitarian effort of epic proportions as last week’s winner Alex43 would forego his predictions this week to give others a chance of winning…well that or he was too busy making “special sauce” for the visiting Seoul fans in Jeonju. It was also a round to forget for Gyongmaman who slipped to 11th while both K-Leap of Faith and The Quinntessential 4-4-2 also slid down the table.
The most predicted correct result was Gangwon v Sangju with six players managing full points, while all but two players thought that Jeonbuk would dispose of FC Seoul. For the second week in a row the least predicted result was an Ulsan defeat as this time they lost at home to Jeju to leave them as the only team in K-League One without a point.
