Week 2 of the K-League One season and yet another hugely unexpected result, well unless your name is Ferdinand, as Jeonbuk crashed to a 3-2 defeat at Incheon. Also causing a few eyebrows to raise ala The Rock was Gyeongnam carrying on their winning form from week 1 as they completed a miserable week for Jeju with a 2-0 victory. Suwon Bluewings bounced back from their opening day defeat by coming back form Daegu with all 3pints and FC Seoul? Well let’s just say I wouldn’t move into a Gangnam penthouse any time soon if I was Hwang Sun Hong.
Another solid week of predictions from Modern Seoul cemented his place at the top of the Leaderboard as he managed to secure 7pts from the six fixtures with a full 4pts awarded for his spot-on prediction of Bluewings 2-0 victory. Elsewhere there were big wins for AllyM who climbed three spots in the table and Halfwit who manged to battle his way to 8pt spot. But it was to be Alex43 who would win Predictor of the Round as he climbed ten spots in the table to 2nd with an huge 10pts, which given that Jeonbuk result was a pretty amazing achievement.
Round 2 would unfortunately be one to forget JimmyEd and Expected Toulouse as they would slip down the table to 8th and 15th respectively. 48 Shades host K-Leap of Faith would also have a pretty poor round as he only managed a meager 3pts for predicting that Pohang would beat Jeonnam by a solitary goal. KinKenny1967 and lenfant22 are still to put points on the board.
The most predicted result was Daegu v Bluewings with four players managing full points. The least predicted result was Ulsan’s disastrous defeat at the hands of Sangju as nobody was able to foresee the Army putting last week’s sore defeat behind them.
