Episode 149 – ‘Sno joke, Chief

This week at 48 Shades Tower Mark is still trying his best to thaw off from the Suwon Bluewings Asian Champions League playoffs where they defeated Thanh Hoa in utterly Baltic conditions. The game saw the debuts of Dejan, Waguininho, Lim Sang Hyub and Lee Ki Jae all of whom scored with Waguininho bagging himself a brace.

The game started pretty slow but once the first goal was scored the floodgates opened and it was all one-way traffic for the K-League side who ran out 5-1 winners. This of course wasn’t the only game played on a snowy surface as the U23 Final was also played during a snowstorm which resulted in the 2nd half being delayed for an hour as the locals tried to clear the pitch. This delay did of course allow the Uzbekistan team to realize that playing in white in those conditions was a bad idea and finally decided to play in their away tops for the 2nd half. The final which was between Uzibekistan and Vietnam almost went to penalties but for Uzbekistan scoring with almost the last kick of the ball to break Vietnamese hearts.

Also on this week’s episode the guy’s discuss the recent Korean National Team friendlies, the prolific form of Kim Shin Wook in the red of the Taegeuk Warriors, we reveal our winners and losers, discuss some more transfer rumours and much more……
