Episode 142 – Damp Squib Man

This week the boys focus on the East Asian Cup and the upcoming ‘winner takes all’ Haniljeon match between Korea and Japan as the old foes do battle once again, this time the EAFF trophy the spoils of war. Korea started the tournament with a rather strange 2-2 with China after dominating huge swathes of the match and really should have come out on top. Kim Shin Wook and Lee Jae Sung with the goals as Korea first came from behind then threw the lead away in a pulsating ‘topsy turvy’ clash. They did however redeem themselves with a 1-0 win over North Korea albeit courtesy of an own goal by Ri Yong Choi. Japan come into the match on the back on two victories and will know that merely a draw will see them win back the trophy and hold the bragging rights for the next couple of years. It is shaping up to be a cracking match…..

Also on this week’s episode the boys announce their winners and losers of the week, Paul takes a trip down memory lane for his first clash of the Koreas, we look at some of the main stories and transfer rumours on the forums and more…..
